A Roman ceramic strainer sherd of possible Vectis Ware (c. 43-c. 350 AD). This sherd is flat and dark grey on one side and reddish brown on the other side and has numerous perforations. It is dark grey (almost black) and is tempered with flint and quartz. The outer diameter of the rim, when complete, would have been c. 12.0cm in diameter.
