A cast copper alloy Aesica brooch dating to the Roman period. The brooch is formed of two separate pieces where the bow is riveted to the back plate. The missing spring was secured at the rear of the bow between lateral lugs on the main brooch plate. The bow has three ribbed moulding running vertically down its length with two outward-pointing lugs at its base and a central lug forming the rivet head. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, West Midlands). The brooch has a sharply curving bow that extends down to the catchplate, which is now incomplete but appears to have been of the openwork variety. There is now decoration or ribbing on the bow or elsewhere. The head of the brooch retains the spring box but the spring and pin is now missing. This brooch is similar to those in Hattatt (2007), for example number 24 (p300). They date AD 80-120.

An almost complete but bent and damaged cast copper-alloy Early-medieval small-long brooch. The brooch has a cruciform headplate around a central square with T-shaped arms. The two lateral arms are decorated with three punched ring-and-dot motifs while the upper arm is decorated with stamped V's or X's. Beneath the headplate is an arched bow, carinated in front and slightly hollowed on the reverse, with ribbed mouldings both at the top and bottom, forming faceted corners. A cast copper alloy lozenge-shape plate brooch, likely to date to the Roman period and more specifically c. 2nd century AD. The brooch is lozenge-shaped in plan with double lobes protruding from each of the four corners; the centre of the brooch has a raised lozenge-shaped boss, the middle of which is decorated with ribbed lines and a secondary, inner boss of the same shape. At the upper end is an integral transverse circular-section bar (half of which is missing, and originally c20mm in length) which is partly decorated with encircling grooves. An incomplete late early-medieval (late Anglo-Saxon) - medieval copper-alloy cloisonné enamelled disc brooch (late 10th - 11th century), of the Saunderton type (Weetch Type 20.A). The brooch is constructed from a base-plate of copper alloy with six equidistant rounded projections, though one has been broken off. An incomplete copper-alloy disc brooch, dating from the early part of the Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period.
Just over half of the disc remains, the rest having been lost in antiquity. At the middle of the flat upper surface, there is an incomplete punched ring-and-dot mark, with two concentric grooves around a central perforation. This central mark was originally surrounded by a ring of further such marks, three of which occupy the perimeter of the remaining portion of plate. The brooch has a domed sub-lozenge shaped body, hollow on the underside, with four solid, domed knops at each outer upper and lower corner of the body. The brooch is circular in plan with a raised outer rim from which protrude six (incomplete) small lugs spaced at regular intervals around the outer edge. A copper alloy button brooch dating to the later 5th and 6th century AD. The brooch has an upturned rim with a central anthropomorphic face mask. The mask has five vertical grooves representing hair, eyes bound by lines both above and below (eyebrows and cheekbones), and possibly an open mouth. The gilding is mostly complete. The reverse does not retain any gilding and both the pin hinge and catch is fragmentary; the pin is missing. Button brooches with similar designs have been recorded from Chatham Lines in Kent and Abingdon in Oxfordshire.

The brooch has a a small D-shaped headplate, a widely curved rounded bow with ten equally-spaced projections down the centre, and an upturned foot. A medieval silver annular brooch. The frame is sub-circular in plan and has a thin rectangular cross-section. There is a cut-out bar for the attachment of a pin, now lost. Grateful thanks are extended to Malcolm Jones who comments: On the upper surface there is an inscription that appears to read; CLLA DON MARIA (P)LENIA, which is probably a blundered version of the prayer 'AVE MARIA GRACIA PLENIA DOMINUS TECUM' (Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee), or similar. A copper alloy Roman Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, Eastern Group), circa AD 80-120. The brooch has a solid end with small hole for spring spindle. Pin is missing. The spring shape is visible in cylinder on the end. The brooch is broken on the bow, which itself is decorated with four parallel lines and a row of pellets down the centre. Green patina with traces of either silver or tinning. The bow measures 8.6mm in width.
