A Post-medieval lead token with a pattern of almost palm-like fronds, or a series of "Cs" in varying sizes, two on each side and back-to-back with a central upright. The reverse has an indistinct pattern and faint lettering around one edge but this is illegible. Lead tokens are difficult to date precisely and could be Medieval to Post Medieval in date (1250-1800 AD). The majority of lead tokens are thought to date to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, however this example, with the lettering, suggests a 16th or 17th century date.

The token has a five pointed-petal design on the obverse, and a geometric pattern with central pellet, possibly representing a tree, on the reverse. Leaden tokens such as this are very hard to date and leaden tokens have been used for centuries, although the designs on this token suggest a Tudor-era date, c. AD 1400-1600.
