A complete but broken post-Medieval dress-fastener (1500-1700 AD).
This flat hook-piece is one part of a two-piece fastener. The other part would have had a loop to accommodate a hook. It is sub-oval in plan and within the frame a fleur-de-lis motif forms openwork decoration. At one end a forward projecting hook is rectangular with a semi-circular terminal end. Flanking the hook at either side is a perforated attachment lug. There is a similar lug at the opposite end. At the front all the edges, including those of the openwork, are bevelled. An incomplete Medieval cast copper-alloy seal matrix (c. 1200-c. 1400 AD).
The seal matrix is pointed oval in plan. At the rear it is bevelled either side of a central vertical rib which has a suspension loop at the top. The perforation is filled with copper-alloy corrosion products.
Due to corrosion, the depiction on the die and the inscription, where it survives, is illegible.
The seal is corroded on both faces and with some loss of material around the edges. It has traces of a dark green patina.

An incomplete and misshapen post-Medieval to Modern cast lead alloy unidentified object.
This object is rectangular in plan with moulded decoration at the front and flat at the rear. It has a transverse break at each end.
The decoration is in the form of a dragon facing right. The body is scaled, although most is worn off and there is a flower head above the body. There is a raised border above and below the dragon at each edge.
The object, possibly part of a frieze, has a buff patina with small areas of corrosion. The breaks are old and the fracture appears to be fresh.

A complete and misshapen cast copper-alloy strap slide (c. 1600-c. 1700 AD).
Prior to being misshapen, the fitting was sub-rectangular in plan and is rectangular in cross-section. At the front, the sides are lobed mid-way along its length and they are concave above and below the lobes. The rear face has parallel sides. Recessed decoration at the front consists of a scrolled and floral design all within a recessed border which follows the outline edge.
This object has a patch dark green patina with some corrosion deposits.

An incomplete post-Medieval strap fitting of two elements (c. 1500-c. 1700 AD)
The main element is flat at the front and back and has triangular openwork at the centre. At the front, the inner and outer edges are bevelled. There is an incomplete, free running looped pin or rivet which is sub-oval in cross-section.
The main element has a green patina and the rear face is coarser than the front. The pin or rivet has no patina and is mainly covered with copper-alloy corrosion products.

An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy mount (1600-1700 AD).
This mount is bevelled longitudinally at the front. In plan, the central part is sub-triangular in shape. At one end there is a large acorn-like knop and the opposite end is in the form of an old abraded break.
The rear face is flat and has the stubs of two fixing prongs on the same central alignment.
This mount is corroded and in poor condition. At the front there are traces of a white metal coating, probably tin, and the rear face is pitted.

Both faces of this weight have a lion rampant with a single annulet. All the sides have file marks.
The weight may be from the Low Countries - Mid-13th-16 century is the likely date span (pers. comm. Paul Withers, 08/06/2012).

The mount is plain and domed at the front and concave at the rear. At the rear are two, almost diametrically opposed tapering integral spikes. These are bent inwards and meet at the centre. They are circular in cross-section.
The front has a dark brown patina and the rear has a buff coating.

An incomplete Roman cast copper-alloy Hod Hill bow brooch (c. 43-c. 75 AD).
The bow, the pin and the catch-plate are incomplete.
The flat head of the brooch is sub-triangular in plan and the top is folded forwards to form tubular wings to house an iron axis bar which is intact. The bar secures a copper-alloy pin loop that is fused to the wings. The bow is strongly curved in side profile and the central part of the bow is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear.
