A complete Medieval cast copper-alloy bar mount (c. AD 1150-c. 1450).
The central part of this mount is oval in plan, domed at the front and concave at the rear. At each end there is an integral sub-oval terminal, convex at the front and flat at the rear. Each terminal is pierced for a separate rivet. One rivet is missing and the surviving rivet, made of copper-alloy, is flush with the front and projects at the rear. The front of the central part is decorated with five transverse incised grooves. The ridges between the grooves have been vertically cross-hatched.

A complete and corroded post-Medieval cast copper-alloy hooked mount (c. AD 1550-c. 1650).
The mount is convex at the front and partially concave at the rear. It is sub-trapezoidal in plan with a small 'U'-shaped incurve at the centre of the upper edge. The sides taper towards the rearwards projecting hook which is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. Two rivet holes, one close to the upper edge and the other just below the centre of the plate, are both filled with the remains of an iron rivet. A fragment of a Medieval to post-Medieval purse bar (c. AD 1450-c. 1600). Geake 2001: 42.
This fragment consists of part of an arm and a complete knop.
The arm is rectangular in cross-section with rounded corners and measures 4.23 x 3.22mm in section. The knop is globular has a central circumferential rib flanked on either side by a groove. At the end, the knop has a central decorative groove.
This object has a mid-brown patina overall and the break is old.

A complete post-Medieval cast copper alloy spherical animal 'crotal' bell
(AD 1600-1800).
The sub-rectangular suspension loop at the top is about 12.76mm long, 13.95mm wide and 3.54mm thick and has an inverted 'U'-shaped aperture. The curve of the bell continues under the loop aperture suggesting it was made using a detachable 'sprue-piece', this method was introduced in the 17th century. A Medieval to post-Medieval leg/foot from a cast copper-alloy cooking vessel (c. AD 1250-c. 1650).
The object is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in cross-section, flat at the rear. The front of the leg has a central vertical rib which is flanked on either side by a vertical groove. The bulbous foot projects forwards.
This leg/foot has an olive green patina. At the top there is a transverse break and at the side of the foot there is a small break.

An incomplete Medieval cast copper-alloy 'locking buckle' (c. AD 1350-c. 1450).
In plan, the frame is rectangular with slightly rounded corners. The outer edge is 4.88mm in width and 3.24mm in thickness and is rabbeted throughout its width to accept and secure the U-shaped arm attached to the pin bar. The end of the bar is missing due to a break. There is a small notch on the upper face of the outer edge for a pin-rest. In side view the sides of the frame are expanded to accommodate the off-centred pin bar.

An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy strap fitting, probably related to a sword belt (c. AD 1500-c. 1700).
This fitting comprises a flat oval body with the stub of a hook at one end and an incomplete loop at the opposite end. At the front it is decorated with two parallel horizontal grooves. There is a circular off-centre hole adjacent to the grooves. The rear surface is plain.
This surface of this object is orangey brown and has traces of a light green patina on both faces. The breaks are abraded.

A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame (c. AD 1570-c. 1700).
The frame trapezoidal in plan and each loop is of similar size and shape, It is convex at the front and flat at the rear. There is slight bevelling on the inner sides of the loops at the front. The pin bar is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. There is a knoped protrusion at each end of the pin bar. Each loop is angled upwards from the bar at an angle of about 5°.
This buckle is corroded and has a shiny mid-green patina. It is much shinier at the front than at the rear.

This frame has a shiny mid-green patina overall. Several file marks are present.

The sub-rectangular suspension loop at the top is 14.96mm high, 16.03mm wide and 4.04.mm thick and has an inverted 'U'-shaped perforation. A post-Medieval cast copper-alloy (latten) spoon knop (AD 1500-1600).
The knop belongs to a seal top type. It has a flat top under which it has several mouldings in the following order: flattened rounded ball/baluster/collar/baluster/collar/collar. Below the collar is the stub of the stem which is possibly hexagonal in cross-section.
The knop is corroded and appears to be undecorated.
Height: 28.88mm; diameter: 13.46mm. Weight: 5.49g.
A similar example is illustrated by Homer 1975: 38 who categorises it as a Seal Top, type B dating to the 16th century.

A Medieval cast-copper leg/foot from a ewer (water jug), c. AD 1300-c. 1500.
This leg is one of three that would have been integral with the base of the vessel. The inside face of the leg is flat and the outside face is faceted to form an irregular pentagonal shape in cross-section. Immediately above the foot there is a prominent horizontal ridge. This does not extend around to the rear face. The foot has four facets at the front and is slightly hollow on the underside.
The break at the top is old. It has a shiny dark green patina overall.

A fragment of a Medieval to post-Medieval cast copper-alloy purse frame (c. AD 1450-c. 1525).
This small portion of frame is 'L'-shaped in cross-section and curved in side profile. One outer face is decorated with double zigzag grooves. These grooves were probably filled with niello. However, none has survived. The other outer face is plain and has three circular holes at one end (a break has occurred across one of the holes). An incomplete and misshapen Medieval cast copper-alloy bar mount probably from a casket or box (c. AD 1200-c. 1450).
About one half of the mount is missing due to a transverse break.
The mount is convex at the front and concave at the rear and is bent inwards through an angle of 90°. It has a central bar and the surviving end is cusped at each side, has a sub-circular rivet hole and terminates with a pointed knop. Between the bar and the cusps there is a transverse ridge.

This instrument has a globular knopped handle at the hinge. The knop is faceted and broadly octagonal in cross section. Within a slot are the broken remnants of the thinner arm. The main arm, octagonal in cross-section, continues downwards and then arches outwards. This arched part is trapezoidal cross-section. The pin and the majority of one loop are missing.
The surviving rectangular loop has an outer edge which is circular in cross-section with a baluster moulding that serves as a pin rest. Both sides are rectangular in cross-section and the bar is square in cross-section.

A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy rectangular double-looped buckle (c. AD 1570-c. 1700).
Each loop is similar and rectangular in plan. The outer edges and sides are circular in cross-section with some minor linear chamfering. At each corner of the frame there is a semi-circular 'cut-out'. On the front of one outer edge there is a small notch for a pin-rest. The central bar is pentagonal in cross-section due to similar chamfering. The tapering copper-alloy pin has a length of 21.08mm and the width at the loop is 4.62mm. It is partially hollow on the underside.
