An extremely worn, clipped and bent, now incomplete 16th-century silver post-medieval sixpence of Elizabeth I, London mint, dating to 1584 AD (North 2015).
The wear is far greater on the obverse than the reverse. The coin appears to have been deliberately bent, perhaps after the manner of a 'love token' in an S shape. The coin may have broken at one of these folds resulting in a loss of around a fifth of the original flan.
