A Roman cast copper alloy mount, possibly a harness fitting or furniture mount. The mount is in the form of an eagle with the eagles slightly folded outwards with the tips of the wings touching the feet. The head is protruding and facing outwards. Between the feet the eagle has a small spherical ball between which has two lentoid notches which may be intentional or accidental damage. The body and upper legs are covered with linear notches forming columns '\/' which slightly overlap. A cast copper alloy trumpet brooch. The head has no wings and in plan is a horizontal oval; it is undecorated. The upper edge has a trace of a decorated integral perforated lug (headloop). The decoration is in the form of horizontal ridges. On the reverse of the bow head there are two vertical sub-oval integral lugs with a central perforation. The lugs support an axis bar around which the spring is coiled. Five coils of the spring remain, one forming the pin, which is missing. A probable cast copper-alloy headstud brooch. The wings are semi-cylindrical, but may have originally been tubular and has since been damaged. The interior of the wings reveal a seven coiled spring around an axis bar. The pin is missing. The chord above the spring is held in place by a central hook on the reverse of the upper edge of the wings.
