An incomplete cast copper alloy Hod Hill brooch of Roman date. The head of the brooch is tubular and is formed by rolling over a rectangular plate creating the hinge for the pin. The pin no longer remains. From the head the metal tapers into the bow before expanding into short shoulders. The bow is rectangular in plan though the sides are extremely worn and the upper surface is decorated with a raised central spine with moulded knot design. An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch, that is not further identifiable due to its fragmentary nature. All that remains is the spring mechanism, part of which has been broken. The metal is mottled dark/light green in colour and it weighs 21.5g. The remainder of the brooch measures 29.42mm in length and 28.69mm in width.

An incomplete copper alloy trumpet brooch dating to the Roman period, 1st-2nd centuries AD. The brooch is missing the pin however, the rest of the brooch is present. The head is oval in shape with a circular loop attached that would have held the pin in place. There is a curved bow with moulded decoration about halfway down. A complete copper alloy pennanular brooch of Fowler Type A2 dating to the Roman period. The brooch has been pulled out of shape and is roughly 'U' shaped in plan with milled knopped terminals. The pin is present and consists of a loop with a rectangular pin that tapers to a point. The pin has also been bent out of shape. The metal is undecorated and green in colour. An incomplete copper alloy brooch dating to the Roman period (early-mid 1st century AD). The brooch is an example of a Colchester One Piece type. The brooch is missing the spring mechanism and pin, but the remaining parts of the brooch are complete.
