Roman copper alloy bow brooch, probably an Aesica variant, 31mm long, 14mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 5.15grams. The brooch is roughly rectangular in form and section. It has a wide upper edge which is slightly rounded on the front to hold the spring casing. From the centre of this upper edge projects a narrow strip which forms an arch and re-joins the main body at the base of the spring casing. This upper portion of a brooch consists of an oval head plate with a circular sectioned bow. The reverse of the brooch consists of the copper alloy spring located in the top portion of the object and has at least 7 coils of copper alloy.

A Roman period copper alloy brooch. This lower portion of a brooch consists of a sub triangular shape with a rectangular cross section. The shape creates the form of a hollow semi-circle and has a single circular protrusion on the lowest part of the brooch. It is 43.89mm long, 12.55mm wide, 6.58mm thick, and weighing 6.81g.
Possibly of Polden Hill Type, 75 AD to 175 AD .

A Roman period copper alloy bow brooch foot, measuring 27.12mm long, 10.33mm wide, 5.36mm thick, and weighing 2.30g.
The foot consists of a sub triangular shape with a rectangular cross section. The object is curved to form a catch plate and has a single circular protrusion at its base. The brooch itself has a small crack running down from the top of the object to its mid point.
Possibly of Polden Hill Type, 75 AD to 175 AD.

Roman copper alloy Trumpet brooch, measuring 32.81mm long, 23.43mm wide, 9.57mm thick, and weighing 12.61g.
The object oval in form and a rectangular sectioned shaft emerges from the centre of the head plate. The loop fitting is incomplete but the lower portion, decorated with two horizontal ridges , is present. The shaft is plain until just before it has broken off, where there are two horizontal ridges present.

A Roman period copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, West Midlands). The object itself is semi-circular in cross section, and formed of a sub rectangular piece which makes up the majority of the fragment; and 3 protruding squares - two of equal size on either side of the object and a final smaller piece top centre. A groove runs down the midpoint of the object, and when taken with the shape of the brooch can suggest a Polden Hill type.

A Roman period copper alloy Bow Brooch, measuring 17.10mm long, 9.15mm wide, 4.96mm thick, and weighing 1.38g.
The object appears to be part of a headstud brooch, being semi-circular in cross-section and essentially linear in shape with a wider upper end. Its upper surface has a semi-circular linear depression to take a pin bar. The brooch is heavily encrusted and appears to have been damaged a number of times as shown by a number of dents or nicks over the majority of the piece.

A Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch. The object is circular in cross section and rectangular in form. It has an oval head plate from which emerges a circular sectioned bow, with a central rounded protrusion. The reverse of the object has two protrusions emerging from the head plate, which would have held the spring mechanism. The catch plate runs from the midpoint to the base of the object. It is 45mm long, 26mm wide, 12mm thick, and weighing 10.34g.

This largely incomplete brooch is semi circular in form and comprises of a large rectangular protrusion at the top of the piece with a vertical linear piece coming down from its mid point. The brooch does not appear to be decorated in anyway. but seems to be largely corroded in nature. The reverse of the object consists of part of a copper alloy spring. A Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, Wes Midlands) brooch.The portion of the brooch is sub rectangular in nature, with two square protrusions on the top left and right of the piece. The artifact is decorated with lozenge shaped relief, which is then followed by two linear depressions which are located between protrusion and the mid point of the piece. It appears that some evidence of tinning is present over the piece.

The brooch comprises of a linear piece which has a slight curve at the base. The object is semicircular in cross section, and may possibly be that of a knee brooch.
The reverse of the object shows evidence of a spring and a small amount of associated iron staining on the upper portion of the piece, while a copper alloy catch plate appears to be located on the lowest point of the object.

A Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, Eastern Group) brooch. The brooch has cylindrical wings decorated with two diagonal incised lines, one on each side, which start in the lower outer corner. A portion of the spring, showing 7 coils is present. The bow is almost complte and has a D shaped cross section with a slight central ridge which becomes large rtowards the top and forms a protruding spring fixing, now damaged.
It is 20.16mm long, 19.52mm wide, 9.51mm thick, and weighs 3.85g.

Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, Western Group) brooch. It consists of semi-circular sectioned short, open wings which sit either side of a rounded protrusion. The bow sits above this and is semi-circular in section. It tapers in width and has most of a triangular catch plate attached. The brooch is plain except for a raised ridge with transverse groves, running down from the top of the bow. It is 48mm long, 17mm wide and 12mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 7.15grams

A Roman copper alloy Colchester-derivative, Harlow brooch with double lug brooch of Mackreth 2011, CD Ha, 3.a2. ofd The West of England Group.
The bow is fragmentary and only the spring cover, spring and the upper portion of the bow are extant. The foot, catch-plate and pin are absent. The brooch has moulded linear ridges decorating the spring cover and the bow.The presence of the hook over the edge of the bow head to hold the external chord of the spring is also more characteristic of Colchester-derivatives. It is 21.27 mm long, 19.07 mm wide, 9.60 mm thick and weighs 3.93 grams.

A copper alloy Roman T-Shaped Bow Brooch measuring, 25.53 mm in length, 19.80 mm wide, 5.56 mm thick and weighing 5.21 grams.
The brooch is fragmentary and only the solid wings and the upper portion of the bow remain. The foot, catch-plate and pin are absent.
The circular sectioned wings have a central rectangular recess which sits above the rectangular sectioned curving bow. This is plain except for a circular-shaped moulding at the shoulder.

A copper alloy Roman Polden Hill brooch of flat wing ends type.The brooch is fragmentary and only the right side of the spring cover and bow remain. The right side of the spring-cover, catch-plate, and pin are absent. The bow is oval in section and tapers to form a V-Shape. The bow is also twisted at the foot, giving it a skewed appearance.
