An incomplete copper-alloy disc brooch, dating from the early part of the Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period.
Just over half of the disc remains, the rest having been lost in antiquity. At the middle of the flat upper surface, there is an incomplete punched ring-and-dot mark, with two concentric grooves around a central perforation. This central mark was originally surrounded by a ring of further such marks, three of which occupy the perimeter of the remaining portion of plate. A fragment of a Neolithic flint axehead (3500 BC-2100 BC).
This fragment is the butt end of a slender axehead. It has been bi-facially knapped. In plan, the butt is semi-circular and the sides flare outwards and downwards towards an oblique break. However, the sides are almost parallel. In side view, it is sub-triangular, pointed at the top and is pointed-oval in cross-section. The arrises are sharp although most are not very pronounced.

An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle has a double loop and is asymmetrical with a narrowed strap bar. The pin no longer survives.
The metal is a grey in colour with traces of silvering remain on the surface of the buckle. The buckle is 25.86mm long, 17.20mm wide, 1.9mm thick and weighs 2.6g.
A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.90, no.562 and is dated to circa 1575 - 1700.

An incomplete cast copper alloy furniture fitting of uncertain date - posssibly from the Roman period. This fitting consists of a hollow copper alloy mount with large central projecting boss / knob. The sides of the boss have an iron filled transverse hole / piercing (diameter: 4.5mm) which may once have held a small handle / swivel. The underside of the mount is concave and filled with the corroded remains of an iron shank. The artefact is heavily abraded around its rim and has a well developed green patina.
