A cast copper alloy buckle plate. The plate is sub-rectangular in plan, with one long edge having a central rectangular slot and off-set sides. This edge may have originally formed a fold over the strap bar and the slot was to allow the pin to move on the strap bar. The terminals of the edges on this portion of the plate are abraded and slightly curled. Along the opposite edge there are three rivet holes which have been pierced through to the reverse. Medieval strap fitting or buckle; cast copper alloy, stirrup-shaped strap fitting probably dating from the later 14th century. The fitting has a flattened bar across the end, which may be a pin bar, and a simple decorative knop at the apex of the curve. The back face is flattened and undecorated. Length 23.82mm, width 15.07mm, depth 4.77mm, weight 2.55g. Ref: See Marshall's "Buckles Through the Ages", part 6 for three very similar examples, described as Type IV C.

A copper alloy book clasp, probably of Howsam type A.9.1. It is cast in one piece, but composed of three elements; a rectangular attachment end, an oval dome and a sub-triangular protrusion. The front of the rectangular attachment end has a raised edge on three sides; the fourth side is flat, allowing the strap to lie flat on this portion of the clasp. Medieval (1200-1400AD) cast copper alloy heraldic pendant. The pendant is shield shaped, with a broken suspension loop at its apex. The design on the upper surface is difficult to decipher due to wear, it is possibly an animal. There is no trace of enamel or gilding surviving. The reverse is plain and undecorated. The pendant has a dark brown patina, with patches of light to mid green copper corrosion. The pendant is 21.1mm long including the suspension loop, 17.1mm long excluding the suspension loop. It is 13.6mm wide, 1.7mm thick and weighs 1.27 grams.

The short, hollow stem is oval in cross section, measuring 21.3mm in length, 5.3mm in width and 3.5mm in thickness. Cast lead object, in the form of a tear-drop. Possibly part of a seal. There is a worn break at its apex, presumably from a bar which would have joined it to another disc. The upper surface is decorated with cast, raised dots arranged in an irregular pattern. Lead artefacts are difficult to date, but it is likely to be of late Medieval or Post Medieval date, circa 1400 – 1850 AD. The artefact is 23.30mm long, 17.89mm wide, 3.01mm thick and weighs 6.52 grams.

Copper alloy strap end, length 39mm, width 31mm, thickness 2mm, weight 8.85g. The object consists of a crescent that has an incised border on its upper edge and what appears to be random incised lines within, the lower side is slightly hollow. The forward edge has a trefoil shaped protrusion which is decorated on its upper side with linear incisions, to indicate a leaf. There are two rivet holes in the centre of the crescent one of which still retains it copper alloy rivet, one arm of the crescent has been snapped. This artefact dates to the 15th century.
