Small gold finger-ring with circular bezel c. 14mm in diameter, neatly curved to fit around the finger and decorated with very worn filigree and granulation. There is a border around the edge which was originally made from beaded wire 1mm wide, but the beading is now worn almost completely away. Four heart shapes of plain unbeaded wire are set in a cross on the bezel, with the points meeting at the centre; the two that run from shoulder to shoulder are made from a single piece of wire curving around like a figure-of-eight, and the other two are made from separate lengths. This wire is…

Lead and copper alloy weight. Cast lead weight with inset copper alloy object, possibly a fragment of a Late Roman coin - it resembles a bearded bust trimmed from a radiate issue of circa 260-275, though this appearance may be fortuitous. The lead is patinated overall. The use of weights with insets is considered characteristic of Viking Age activity. This example was either casually made or has been partly melted. Its mass falls within 0.3gms of a Viking Dublin unit of 4.43gms. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 850-950. Length: 19.2mm, Width: 15.7mm, Thickness: 3.9mm, Weight: 4.71gms.

A sheet copper alloy sword pommel, probably dating to the early-medieval period. The pommel is made from one sheet of copper alloy that has been folded from a flat rectangular base up and over into triangular profiled pommel with a rectangular cross section.
