White patinated flint possible knife, as identified by finder. Flake with a notch on either side, perhaps to assist hafting, and with long thin blade removal scars along two sides of a sub-triangular point. It seems that subsequent fine pressure flaking with a point has formed serrated edges at this end, though this is a feature which is more easily felt than seen. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2100-1500 BC. Length: 36.8mm, Width: 19.8mm, Thickness: 7.3mm, Weight: 4.68gms.

Pale cloudy grey flint fabricator, as identified by finder. Elongated biconvex finger-shaped tool shaped by hard hammer working. The object tapers towards a thinner curved end, with casually executed flake removal at the mid point affording a grip for the thumb; the other end is flat, at a recent break. The upper and lower convex surfaces are lightly smoothed, probably by wear during use, though other flaking at the edges represents post-depositional damage. Copper alloy with gilding and enamel hooked tag. Cast hook comprising a circular plate with a rectangular section loop above and a pointed hook bent back below. A Roman copper-alloy dupondius or As of Faustina II Junior under Antoninus Pius, dating to the period AD 145-161 (Reece period 7). Probably VENVS S C reverse type depicting Venus standing left holding apple? and leaning on column. Mint of Rome. The figure of Venus has a similar stance to Spes on the reverse of a coin of Marcus Aurelius as Caesar, struck AD 153-4 (BMC pl. 47, no. 16; RIC III, p. 184, no. 1320). This would suggest that the Faustina piece was struck around the same time and might be another 'Coin of British Association', issued for use in Britain.
