A pyramidal shaped core dating to the Mesolithic period (6500 - 3500 BC). The core is triangular in profile and irregular in plan. A number of distinct knapping platforms are present and there are several areas of multiple blade removals in a number of different directions .The flint is a light grey colour with a milky white patina and substantial area of cortex. The flint is also very coarse and there are a number of hinge fractures present. The core measures 28.7mm in length, 29.1mm width, is 26.3mm thick and weighs 24.49 grams.

This is evident from a ridge down one side of the fragment. One of the fragments is white/speckled blue in colour, weighing 2.5g and measuring 33.76mm in length and 13.70mm in width. There is some evidence of recent plough marks around the perimeter. The other fragment is blue in colour, weighing 1.6g and measuring 20.87mm in length and 12.51mm in width. There is evidence of recent breaks around the perimeter of the fragment.

A flint multi-purpose tool probably dating from the Mesolithic period. It combines a scraper and a burin. It is a sub-rectangular flake of milky gray tan flint. Retouch on the distal end of the left side forms the burin at the distal left corner. There are removals from both the dorsal and ventral faces here. The distal end of the right edge has been retouch with fine abrupt removals from the ventral face to form a scraping edge. There is also evidence of platform preparation.

One very small Mesolithic blade core in pale to mid-grey flint. It is conical with a prepared platform at the top and angled sides showing repeated, parallel bladelet removals. One side is still covered in cortex suggesting it is pebble flint. There is also a patch of cortex in the middle of the other side, either from a flaw in the flint or suggesting a very small pebble was used. The second is a tertiary piece in pale grey flint with a white patina, the snap is unpatinated and may be more recent, 17.7mm by 11.9mm by 3.5mm, 0.75 grams.

Two flint and five worked chert fragments. The size of the individual elements of the assembly indicate that they are the debitage of Mesolithic microlith production. Also found eroding out of the same horizon were a number of heavily burnt stone. One lump of grit, over 15 cm across, was broken open to ascertain the extent of burning. It is wide and thick at the butt end and tapers to a point. It has been knapped overall except for a small area close to the butt where there is a patch of buff cortex. At one side of the cortex a small area has been battered when it was probably used as a hammer-stone. The surfaces are light and dark grey with off-white mottling and red staining.
