Incomplete cast lead decorated biconical spindle whorl. The upper surface of the whorl is decorated with raised pellets, chevrons and lines radiating from the central perforation to the outer edge. The surface of the whorl is in good condition, with most of the decoration surviving, but the edge is worn in places. The whorl appears to have been miscast, so that one side is incomplete, with a lozenge-shaped depression, which might have been caused by an air bubble. A lead alloy weight weighing approximately 1 kilogram. The weight is shaped like a three dimensional teardrop, or pear, and has a small circular hole running from the top to the bottom. It is likely a hook of some sort was attached through the hole to allow the weight to be hung on scales. The weight is 74.8mm long and has a diameter of 54.7mm. A fragment of a cast lead object, possibly part of an architectural element. Probably Post Medieval (c. AD 1500 – c. AD 1750). Length 19.2mm, width 21.2mm and 2.8mm thick. Weight 5.34g. The fragment consists of a curving strip of lead which is convex on both faces. One end has an old break and the other end terminates with three crudely shaped and conjoined pointed features which resemble leaves. Oval pot mend cast in lead. There are no pottery fragments adhering to the lead to give a precice date, thus it could date from the Roman through to Post Medieval periods. It is 27.79mm long, 22.55mm wide and 9.87mm thick. One surface is very worn and damaged, while the other surface is smooth.

A heavily worn and corroded lead document seal of probable medieval to early post-medieval date. No exact parallel could be found for this piece, although the form and certain aspects of the imagery mimic papal bullae.
