A cast copper alloy strap distributor of probable post medieval date. The distributor comprises a central copper alloy ring to which is attached three simple strap loops with the remnants of leather straps surviving. The central ring is a mid green colour and has a good polished surface patina. It is broadly circular in plan and lentoid in section - the upper edge is decorated with a simple incised pattern of four groups of three radial lines positioned evenly around the edge. Early Medieval copper alloy fragment of a great square-headed brooch. The fragment is roughly L-shaped, consisting of the bow and part of one side of the footplate, with a circular knob projecting from the front of the bow. Traces of gilding and simple grooved decoration are visible on the front of the bow, and the stub of a catchplate remains on the reverse. The fragment is distorted, perhaps through plough damage or by heat, for example during a cremation. The fragment is 43mm long, 31mm wide, 2mm thick at the top and 6mm thick at the knob, and weighs 21.36g. Finds Advisor …

Post-medieval copper alloy coin weight for a Louis d'or (also known as a pistol) of Louis XIV (1643-1715), made in Britain. The obverse shows a bust of Louis XIV facing right, surrounded by the legend [LVD XIIII DG] FR ET NA RE. The reverse has three Fleurs-de-Lys above the legend 1 PISTOL W. The weight is in fair condition but pitted and corroded. It is 3mm thick, 20mm in diameter and weighs 6.07g.

Extremely well-preserved cast copper-alloy socketed side-looped spear of Acton Park 2, Greenwell and Brewis' Class IV, dating from the early Middle Bronze Age, c. 1600-1400BC. The spearhead is complete, the blade and socket undamaged with a smooth chocolate-brown patina showing hardly any sign of decay at all. There are only a few patchy areas of corrosion on the surface, towards the tip and around the socket. A complete cast copper alloy probable punch or die of medieval to post-medieval date. The punch is rectangular in cross section at the punch end and tapers to the square sectioned shaft at the end. The design on the punch end is a cross with a wide triangular bas stem, short arms and head. The metal has a mid brownish-green colour and is worn. The punch is 53.8mm long, 7.7mm wide, 5.1mm thick and weighs 10g.

Its sides, 2.57mm in thickness, flare evenly upwards from the base to a rim. The base is flat on the inside and outside. The inner and outer faces are plain and the rim may have been decorated prior to being corroded. The weight has traces of a green patina.
