A complete post-Medieval sheet lead or lead-alloy whirligig or buzz disc/wheel of possible 17th to 18th century date. The toy consists of a disc with a serrated outer edge and two string holes at the centre. All the serrations have been crudely made, possibly by chopping or shearing. On one face the string holes are burred over. The object is slightly misshapen and has traces of a buff patina. Diameter: 41.92mm; thickness: 4.34mm. Weight: 28.58g. A complete post-Medieval to Modern cast lead or lead alloy circular double-sided token (c. 1500-c. 1850 AD). The token has raised initial letters: T C with pellets on one side. The other side has a raised 'compass drawn' flower head. 23.14 x 20.26mm. Weight: 6.74g. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally, they are therefore hard to date precisely but those with initials are thought to date c. 1500-1850 AD.

The front face bears a central motif of a circle with a horizontal line running through it surrounded by the legend * S'ALICIE MACTILO (Seal of Alice Mactilo) therefore representing a personal seal of this woman. A Medieval (probably 1200-1400) lead uniface trade weight, square in shape, and depicting a probable pelican displayed in her piety within a raised roundel 33mm in diameter and c.4mm high. The pelican's wings rise to either side of the central body and the head above is turned right with open beak. It is apparently standing over a nest containing chicks. It weighs 4.8g and measures 19.5mm in diameter. This token would come under Powell Type 19: animals, see SUSS-062187 as another example.
