A cast copper alloy fragment of figurine or statuette of probable Roman date (50-400 AD). The fragment comprises the lower arm (forearm) wrist and hand of the left arm; the elbow is lost due to an old break which is patinated. The fragment is relatively poorly modelled, with the forearm being relatively thick and chunky, and the wrist and fingers being inelegant and crudely shaped. A copper alloy ring of uncertain date and function. It is a rod of sub-square but rounded section which has been bent into a closed loop. The ends butt up to each other. The inner edge is worn and rounded. The ring was found in a field that has produced many Roman finds, so a Roman date is tentatively suggested. The patina is well developed and is a very dark brown colour with some pitting. Compare BERK-D773A4 and BERK-1DF112.

A copper alloy ring of uncertain date and function. It is similar to harness rings which are commonly believed to be Medieval. These generally have a hexagonal cross section for example, WAW-3E2EE1. However, this example is thicker than normal, and though the inner edge is bevelled, the outer edge is more rounded and has an incised pair of lines running round it. Roman Brooch: Incomplete and worn cast copper alloy Headstud brooch. The bow, foot and wings of the brooch survive. The head loop is missing although slight races of where this attached remain. The wings are cylindrical and the axis bar for the hinged pin is encased within. The top of the hinged pin fitting is in situ. The bow is semi-circular in section. On the arch of the bow is the worn headstud which consists of a raised outer circular rim with a central raised pellet. Part of a copper alloy probably Roman bracelet. It is oval in section and is a curving rod, bending more at one end than at the other. Both ends are patinated breaks. The metal has a very smooth finish and is very tactile. It has a well developed mid green patina. There is no decoration and only approximately a third of the bracelet survives. Similar bracelets include WMID-675537 and NCL-15EF70.

Incomplete and worn cast copper alloy Roman umbonate brooch. The brooch is sub-circular in form with a domed central boss and hollow reverse. The domed boss is decorated with a roundel design of enamel filled cells. The outer ring consists of blue triangular cells and there is an inner ring of samller red triangular cells. The remains of the hinged pin fittings survive on the rear but the pin is missing. Brooches of this type are typically dated AD. c.100-250.

A copper alloy Roman brooch; a rectangular plate brooch which is decorated by being silvered on the front. Th edges of the plate are damaged, but it appears to be complete. The front is silvered and scratched, but there does not appear to be any further decoration. On the reverse is a central projecting ridge. It is concave in the centre and extends at one end to for the catchplate (the turnover is missing, and is broken across a circular perforation at the other end. A copper alloy Roman brooch; a T shaped brooch dating from 43 - 200 AD, of which only the upper bow survives. The wings are long and tubular. They are decorated with two incised bands at each end. They hold a copper alloy axis bar and a slot is provided for the copper alloy pin of which only a fragment of the head survives. The bow is very thin, but wide at the top. A cast copper alloy Roman dolphin style brooch, dating to the first century AD. The brooch is almost complete, missing only its pin. The bow is decorated with raised vertical ribs that run down the centre of the spine; the wings enclose the spring and are decorated with a single incised line at either end. The bow is slightly twisted towards the foot where the catch plate is retained intact. This brooch is similar to those illustrated in Hattatt (2000) nos 882 and 817.

A copper alloy Roman brooch; a trumpet brooch dating from 75 - 175 AD, of which only the lower bow survives. The acanthus button is on the front only, and has three petals at the top and three at the bottom. Below is a triple collar. The lower bow is decorated with two vertical recessed panels, with a raised chevron at the top of each, both pointing inwards forming a cross (X) at the top of the decorated area. The foot is missing but part of the catchplate survives. The breaks are worn and patinated. The whole brooch has a dark green patina.
