Lower part of heart- or scrotum-shaped strap-end in rather abraded condition, with three ring-and-dots on front face. There is an ancient break across the split end. The dimensions are: width 45.5 mm, length >33.5 mm, thickness 1.5 - 3.5 mm. Compare examples in Appels and Laycock (2007) pp.248-9. Dates to the 4th century, but was perhaps in use later.

Crescent-type Aesica brooch, spring, pin, part of catchplate and one corner of foot missing, in quite fresh condition despite some pock marking especially on reverse. The method of manufacture is cast-in-one. Single oblique groove on both wings, and grooves on bow, crescent and foot. The "crescent" is D-shaped with a very sharp and straight upper edge. Its wingspan is 17.5 mm and its length is 33 mm. Dates to the mid 1st century.
