A probably complete, but with worn edges, sub-hexagonal stone roof tile found in association with Roman material. The edges are longer than the ends, both of which are V shaped. There is a perforation for a nail (5.75mm diameter) towards one edge of the V at one end. Measures c.360mm in length, max.c.220mm in width and c.28mm thick. It weighs in excess of 1kg (maximum allowance of scales available). Roof tiles such as these are common on Roman sites, but continue in use into the 19th century.

Crescent-type Aesica brooch, spring, pin, part of catchplate and one corner of foot missing, in quite fresh condition despite some pock marking especially on reverse. The method of manufacture is cast-in-one. Single oblique groove on both wings, and grooves on bow, crescent and foot. The "crescent" is D-shaped with a very sharp and straight upper edge. Its wingspan is 17.5 mm and its length is 33 mm. Dates to the mid 1st century.

A zoomorphic copper alloy Roman brooch. This brooch is in the shape of a three dimensional bird (probably a duck) with wings extended. - The brooch is decorated with red and blue enamel, of which much remains. There are two half moon shaped cells on each shoulder, filled with red and blue enamel respectively. The bird's back is decorated with six grooves, four inlaid with red enamel, two with blue. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Hinged T-shaped brooch, a sawfish type dating from 43 - 200 AD.The head of the brooch is formed from wide tubular wings with incised collars at each end and a longitudinal seam along the back. Iron corrosion suggests the axis bar is iron. The very top of the copper alloy hinged pin survives. A copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch dating from 75 - 175 AD. The brooch has a plain trumpet head with a thickened moulded rim and a short stub of metal projecting from the top of the trumpet. The acanthus button is very crisp; it has three petals above and three below a central flange, with a triple collar flanking above and below. It does not continue round the bow. A copper alloy pin of probable Roman date. It has a small flattened globular head and there is no collar nor grooves. The shaft is thick, and expands slightly in diameter as it extends further from the head (3.18mm under the head, 3.5mm at the widest point). It tapers again slightly at the far end, but it is not clear whether it is intentionally hipped. The far end is patinated, but may be a break. The pin has a smooth well developed grey green patina.
