An incomplete cast copper-alloy nail cleaner of Roman date. It is missing most of hte plate and attachment end due to old breaks. The surviving fragment comprises the flat base of the plate and projecting bifuricated terminal end, which is rectangular in form with a slight central groove at its tip. No traces of decoration survive and the precise form of the plate is uncertain due to old breaks. It measures 26.92mm in length, 9.19mm in width, 0.97mm in thickness and 0.64g in weight. This is an incomplete copper-alloy nail cleaner of Roman date, c.43-410 AD.

A cast copper-alloy nail cleaner of Roman date. It has a worn green patina and has been bent forwards at an angle of 90 degrees due to post-depositional damage. The blade is flat, leaf-shaped in form with an elongated terminal that has a bifuricated tip. On the front face of the blade at the tip end there is a cnetral incised groove.
