A cast copper alloy octofoil mount dating to the medieval period. The mount has eight domed lobes extending from the outer circumference of a circular domed body; the lobes are hollow on the back, as is the central boss, from the which extends the remains of a square-sectioned shank for attachment. The rear of the mount is plain and undecorated. Egan and Pritchard (1993:186-194) illustrate a range of copper alloy flower mounts which were used to adorn straps and harnesses or belts. A lead alloy weight, probably dating from the medieval to post-medieval periods. The weight is circular in plan with a roughly D-shaped cross section. There are no markings, stamps or decorations on either the upper or lower face of the weight. There is a small depression on the underside of the weight, and this may be a result of manufacturing by turning. The weight weighs 41gms or 1.45oz. Although very hard to date without contextual information, the weight is most likely to date from the medieval to post-medieval period, c. AD 1300-1600,

A lead alloy 'pot mend', probably dating from the medieval period. The pot mend comprises two sub-oval discs joined by a thick central shank and was used to mend a broken vessel in order to lengthen the period of use after damage had occurred. Although very hard to date on their own, some pot-mends do date to the Roman period, although the majority date to the medieval and post-medieval period, c. AD 1300-1550.

A cast copper alloy sexfoil mount dating to the medieval period. The mount has six lobed petals raised around a domed centre. The petals have trilobed terminals and each petal is defined by a narrow incised line. The central raised area contains iron corrosion on both the upper and underneath surfaces; this suggests an iron shank which is now missing. The rear of the mount is plain and undecorated. A Medieval to post-Medieval vessel foot from a copper alloy cooking vessel (c. 1250-c. 1650 AD). The object is sub-rectangular in plan and cross-section throughout its length. It is undecorated but the front retains a raised central vertical rib. The base of the foot is now worn, broken and rounded, but would have resembled an animals' paw. The top of the foot is broken off beneath where it would have joined the vessel. The underside of the base retains a black substance, probably consolidated soot. A complete cast lead trade weight of medieval date. The weight is shield shaped and has a raised design consisting of a central vertical line crossed by three evenly spaced horizontal lines. A triangle of three raised pellets is present at the base of the vertical line and a row of four pellets marks the top of the line. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The metal is a mid brownish-grey colour and is worn. The weight is 60.7mm long, 45mm wide, 7mm thick and weighs 106g. A cast copper alloy strap fitting or possible clasp. The fitting is rectangular in plan and made of two sheets of copper, one of which is now broken and incomplete. The sheets are pierced at one end and two copper rivets secure the plates together. There is a large perforation between the two rivets which extends in the edge of the fitting, making the hole open. File marks can be seen on the inside of the sheets. This fitting may be a strap end or securing fitting for a belt buckle. It dates to the medieval period c. AD 1200-1500.

An incomplete and misshapen Medieval to post-Medieval cast copper-alloy closed thimble (c. 1400-c. 1550 AD). The thimble is slightly flattened. It has a plain rim and the sides slope towards the domed crown. The walls have circumferential lines of sub-circular indentations which extend on to the crown. A worn and incomplete cast copper alloy openwork fitting, probably a book clasp of 11th or 12th century date. Worn sinuous curves on the upper surface suggest possibly a zoomorphic form. The fitting is triangular and has nine circular apertures. At the wider end the bar to retain the strap is missing but the two supporting projections survive. At the apex is a flat-sided projection with a lateral rounded hole for attachment.

A complete lead alloy spindle whorl probably dating from the earlier Medieval period. The spindle whorl is sub-circular in plan and has a large slightly off-centre perforation. It has a raised rim that runs around the outer circumference. The spindle whorl is decorated with a series of raised pellets on both sides; there is possibly a cross on one side although it is hard to make out. Spindle whorls decorated in this fashion are usually attributed to the earlier medieval period, c. AD 110-1400. Some examples may predate this and belong to the end of the early-medieval period.
