The find consists of a gold ring with broken intaglio which is of 1st/2nd century Roman date. Oval carnelian of flat section with oblique sides (Henig1974, 55, fig 1, Flat 1), approximately one-quarter missing, in plain, oval gold collet with lower rim and only very slight intermittent notch at top to hold intaglio. A medieval silver annular brooch, now broken and distorted. The brooch is formed of wire of square section, twisted to form a cable design, and with a row of granulations along each side. The brooch has broken at the restriction which would have held the pin. For similar finds, see Treasure Annual Report 2000 (no 134). The brooch probably dates to the 13th or 14th century. Maximum length: 37mm.

This knop is separated from the frame by a raised collar. On the inside of the square end of the D, and penetrating through it, is a flat-topped copper alloy rivet. The loop has a patchy, dark brown patina. It is 24.2mm long, 16.9mm wide and 5.9mm thick. It weighs 3.93gm. A copper alloy plate from a strap end or buckle plate of Medieval date. The plate is rectangular and has an iron rivet in each corner. It is decorated by a band of cable in the centre and at one end, and rocker arm decoration forming zigzag incised lines on the rest of the plate. On the reverse is a negative impression of the cable design. Another example of a buckle plate of similar style is NMS-09F063 which cites a reference in Norwich Households. The plate probably dates from 1200 - 1500 AD.

Two flint artefacts. 1) A flint leaf shaped arrowhead dating from the Early Neolithic period (3500 BC - 2900 BC). The arrowhead is a pointed oval in plan and has invasive retouch on all sides of the dorsal face, and retouch round the edges of the ventral face. The bulb of percussion is still present, and there is a pronounced dorsal ridge which may indicate that the arrowhead was unfinished. See Butler page 122 - 125.
