Incomplete corroded iron arrowhead. The arrowhead has a pronounced central socket, circular in section and which is now damaged around the mouth. The arrowhead itself is small and compact and is roughly leaf shaped, now missing its tip. The object is heavily corroded and it is difficult to distinguish the barbs, but these were presumably positioned downwards and close to the socket. The faces of the arrowhead are flat without a central rib. There is some material remaining in the socket, possibly a wooden shaft. A copper alloy button and loop fastener of Wild Class 1 and dating from the late Iron Age to early Roman date, 50BC-50AD. The object has been cast in one piece and has two hemispherical bosses set side by side. The loop is an inverted triangle in shape and is bent at approximately ninety degrees at the bottom. It measures 18mm high by up to 17mm wide. The loop is 13mm wide at the top. The overall thickness is 12mm and the weight is 6.09g. A copper-alloy thimble of late medieval to early post-medieval date. An open top 'sewing ring' thimble probably dating from the late 15th to mid 16th century AD. The object is bent and damaged and has a diameter of approximately 17mm at the bottom, tapering to 13mm at the top. Its outer face has seven irregular horizontal rows of closely-spaced circular indentations. It measures 13.7mm high and weighs 3.80g. From the photograph, there appears to be an overlapping seam. If this is an original feature, it suggests a date of c. 1200-1450 (Read 2018, 8-10).
