Worn third century Roman sestertius. The almost square appearance distinguishes the coin from first and second century examples. There is a very worn right facing bust on the obverse and left facing seated figure on the reverse. The legends have been worn from both sides of the coin. The coin was struck in copper alloy and now has an even, dull green patina. It has a diameter of 29.43mm, is 3.13mm thick and weighs 15.86 grams.

Roman sestertius, struck in copper alloy. There is a worn right facing bust, possibly of a female, on the obverse. The reverse depicts a standing figure holding a spear to the left, with the letters S C to the sides. The legend is completely worn from both faces of the coin. The surface of the coin is covered in green corrosion, with some red-brown showing through in patches. The coin has a diameter of 28.51mm, is 4.13mm thick and weighs 15.4 grams.
