Stamped lead sealing cap for a bottle or other vessel. The stamped design is in the form of a sun with central circle and radiating triangles. Inside the circle is a face with two pellets for eyes, each with a central dot and an oval mouth. There are horizontal lines above the eyes. The whole motif is divided by a line. The edges of the cap are folded down to form a lip 8mm long and the whole object is flattened and distorted. NMS-9F24B3, LON-B38BE4 and WMID-5EEF39 all appear to have the same design.

Complete gold composite penannular ring of Middle or Early Late Bronze Age date (1300 BC - 1100 BC). Length (if straightened) c. 48mm, width 9mm. Weight 3.57g. The ring is a tri-partite composite type. The three elements are lightly C-shaped in cross-section and have apparently been soldered together. Each of the elements is about 3mm in width. Gold finger-ring, considerably distorted, the bezel formed of an elaborate quatrefoil, the centre of which is decorated with a roughly scallop-shaped ornament. The centre is keyed to take enamel, and a small part retains some white enamel. This central scallop is surrounded by an inscribed band which reads: "* DUM VIVO SPIRO" in black-letter (2nd V inverted). Middle Saxon gilt copper alloy furniture fitting: incomplete mount in the form of a quatrefoil with convex edges between the foils. One foil is almost entirely missing, having been buckled backwards, probably in antiquity. Acheulian hand axe: There are large a crude flaking scars covering both the ventral and dorsal sides, the tool is cordiform in plan with a rounded butt, the tip has broken away exposing a light grey flint with lighter grey striations running across the break. The flint has is worn, particularly along the edges. One side has a light brown patina with a large off white patch and off white speckles, the other side has a off white patina with light orange patches. Large Achuleian handaxe. It is a heavy butted, sub-cordate shape with a slight reversed S twist in profile. It is made from greensand chert. It has a heavy, creamy patina and some slight iron staining. There is no cortex visible. It is a well formed piece with shallow, invasive scars on both faces and a finely worked tip. There is (ancient) heavy wear on both faces and the flake ridges have been abraded to 1-2mm in width. The edges have been crushed in antiquity. There is no modern damage.

Tertiary chert waste flake. Mid grey-brown chert with white flecks. Matt patina. A small striking platform can be seen at the proximal end. and there are waves of percussion on the ventral surface. The dorsal surface has three main elongate, longitudinal flaking scars indicating that it is the result of bladelet production. There is some edge damage along both sides where the darker colour of the underlying chert can be seen (this indicates that the damage is more recent). Late Neolithic to early Bronze Age.

A medieval finger-ring bezel in the shape of an angel holding a heart. It measures 12.57mm in height, 14.16mm in width and weighs 2.69g. On the reverse is a mark which indicates where the hoop was soldered. The bezel is silver-gilt and dates from the late fifteenth or early sixteenth centuries, and so qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 (J P Robinson, Curator of Medieval Collections, British Museum, 9th August 2005). A finger ring with a very similar bezel has been found in Kingston Deverill, Wiltshire (WILT-2C75F1).

A late Medieval finger-ring formed of a flat band with a heart-shaped bezel. The bezel is grooved and into the central groove is engraved a letter, probably a crowned R, though the engraving is very rudimentary. The band is decorated with a series of diapered lozenges alternating with flowers. The ring is silver-gilt and dates from the late fifteenth or early sixteenth centuries. Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 (J. P.
