An incomplete copper alloy Romano-British aucissa brooch. The foot is roughly spherical (though this may be the result of wear/corrosion, and it may originally have been a thick disc). The short catchplate was behind the bow where it joined the foot, but is now largely missing. The bow itself is half round, flat behind but rounded at the front, and forms a high arch typical of aucissa brooches. It has 3 transverse gooves across it just below where the arch begins. The arch itself is plain. The head and pin are missing.
