Very worn Roman nummus of the House of Constantine. The coin is worn and corroded with a dull dark green patina. The legend is illegible on both the obverse and the reverse. The obverse has the outline of a right facing bust, however the details are unclear. The reverse has the partial remains of two soldiers holding one standard, which dates this coin between 335 and 341AD. The reverse legend would have read GLORIA EXERCITVS. The coin is 13.99mm in diameter, is 1.36mm thick and weighs 1.12 grams.

Slightly worn Roman nummus of Constantine. The obverse of the coin is in good condition, with a right facing laureate bust surrounded by the legend IMP CONSTANTINVS PF AVG. The reverse of the coin has a higher degree of wear, making the design unclear. There is a standing figure with the face turned to the left holding a staff. The legend on the reverse is illegible except for the mint mark PLN, showing that this coin was minted in the primary London workshop. Although the reverse is worn, it is likely to depict Jupiter with a thunder bolt and an eagle at his feet as this reverse desi…
