Edward III sterling penny of pre-treaty period, this penny is probably pre-treaty series C, 1351-52, as it has reverse barred roman letter 'N' however, the initial cross is worn and it is no longer clear if it is cross 1 or cross 1a, if it is the latter the coin is more likely to be pre-treaty series D, 1352-3, although this usually has an unbarred Roman 'N.'
