Medieval fragment very probably from a processional cross, broken and distorted, part of heavily-cast concave-sided circular frame (diameter 60mm) with offset flange on inside edge and projecting elaborate openwork elaborate quatrefoil, each foil with circular perforation and elongated projecting lobe between foils on three outer edges, cracked and bent around onto side. The frame is pierced by a single copper alloy rivet with burred-over head. The quatrefoil has engraved linear decoration on both sides. 15th century.

Medieval front part of a copper alloy sheet buckle plate broken at fold, rectangular with concave sides, pin slot and frame recesses. No decoration is visible on the very abraded front surface. Three rivet holes, all containing remains of iron rivets, are probably secondary, the reverse showing that the rivets have been driven through with some force. Original holes, presumably for copper alloy rivets, would have carefully prepared. 25mm (excluding fold) x 20mm. Not closely datable, 13th – 15th century.

Post Medieval Hinge of possible sugar tongs in silvery grey alloy. Round housing decorated with moulded ring on both faces. Springing of both parts of handle and the two "blades" decorated with a rounded lobe and round blind hole on both faces (one springing is entirely missing). Only of the four elements survives beyond the springing; part of a very delicate arm curving in two directions. Whether this is a handle or "blade" is uncertain. Cf. a "blade" from Burgh Castle (HER 22344). Diameter of housing 13.5mm, thickness 3.5mm. Probably 18th century.

Incomplete, very small Medieval gilt buckle with integral plate. Most of the probably oval frame is missing. The plate has a pin hole (filled with iron), rounded attachment edge, transverse grooved decoration, single integral rivet with sub-square rove. Gap between rove and reverse 2mm. Surviving length 13mm, maximum extant width 9.5mm. 13th - 14th century.

Late Anglo-Saxon finger-ring or earring, once with overlapping ends, now distorted and partly opened out. Hoop of circular cross-section towards the widest, central part and more angular towards the ends. Near one end are the very faint indications of two or three ring-and-dot motifs. Metal has dull purplish surface. Length of hoop c.63mm. Compare Margeson 1993 (Norwich Households) no. 1. 11th century.

Just over half a Post Medieval white-metal coated buckle with double-looped frame, trapezoidal loop, trefoil knop with hexagonal aperture in centre of outside edge, rounded lobe at two corners and both ends of bar. Length (estimated) 53mm, width 34mm. The form compares with Whitehead 2003 no.532, given a date of c.1620 – c.1680. This piece is undecorated, and is closer to an example from Caistor St Edmund (HER 11757).

Iron Age copper alloy La Tène III brooch in very fresh condition. Parts of the surface are yellowish, i.e. without verdigris. The bow is bent at about midpoint and the pin is not engaged with the catchplate. The front of the bow is decorated with four transversely engraved lines above a vertical line of rocker-arm engraving which continues to the foot. Cf. Hattatt nos.238 and 737. Length c.35mm. 1st century BC/AD.

Medieval gilt copper alloy horse harness mount in the form of an eagle displayed. The long neck curves upwards to a break and there is no trace of the head. The feathers on the upper surface are picked out with engraved lines, cross hatching and chevrons, and to a lesser extent with punched dots. In the centre of the underside there is the worn stump of a shank. Width 26mm, length 37mm, thickness of body 5mm.
