A copper-alloy Roman coin. An as of Antoninus Pius (AD 138-61), dating to AD 154-5 (Reece Period 7), [BRITANNIA COS IIII S C, Britannia seated left. Mint of Rome. RIC III, p. 142, no. 934. This is a 'Coin of British Association'. The coin has an irregular flan and is heavily worn and corroded. It measures 25.4mm diameter by 2.9mm thick and weighs 8.6g.
