The obverse depicts a likeness of the bare head of Antoninus Pius facing right. The obverse inscription reads: DIVVS ANTONINVS. The coin is not listed in the Roman Imperial Coinage catalogue, although it is listed in Seaby's 'Roman Silver Coins II; Tiberius to Commodus' (1995, page 183; ref 832a). The legend on the reverse suggests that it dates to the beginning of this emperor's reign, to circa 139 AD.
