Silver Denarius of Antoninus Pius (138-161), minted during the reign of Marcus Aurelius (161-180) to comemorate his memory. The obverse depicts a likeness of the bare head of Antoninus Pius facing right. The obverse inscription reads: DIVVS ANTONINVS. The reverse depicts an eagle standing right with head to the left on an altar with garlands on it. The inscription reads: CONSECRATIO.
