It is inscribed AVGVSTA on the reverse and depicts Ceres standing facing left holding two torches. The coin is worn and weighs 18.62g.

There are two triangular notches on the circumference of the coin, which may be deliberate, although it is also possible that they were caused during the striking process. They are at 7 o'clock and 12 o'clock on the obverse.
