Incomplete cast copper alloy pendant suspension mount of probable seventeenth century date (AD 1600 – AD 1700). Length 38.5mm, width 21.4mm and 17mm thick. Weight 8.37g. The plate is convex at the front and concave at the rear. Viewed in plan, the sides of the plate expand outwards and then inwards forming convex profiles. Most of the upper rivet plate is broken and just a horizontal collar survives. The break is old. The lower rivet plate consists of two horizontal collars which are flat at the rear. Almost complete copper alloy Roman pin of Cool group 3. The head of this pin is ornate. It is formed from an upper globular finial knob with a wasted neck and small collar, which is 9.12mm long, and a square with bulging sides and a flared collar to top and bottom, which is 7.9mm high and 5.4mm wide. Between these two decorative features is a curved three dimensional column that is oval in profile, which is 12.14mm long.
