Small spherical cast iron cannonball. Diameter c.46mm, weight 305g.
Weighing c.0.5lb and measuring 1.5" this could have come from a Serpentine gun, a small matchlock cannon with c.1.5" bore firing 0.5lb shot.

Post Medieval Hinge of possible sugar tongs in silvery grey alloy. Round housing decorated with moulded ring on both faces. Springing of both parts of handle and the two "blades" decorated with a rounded lobe and round blind hole on both faces (one springing is entirely missing). Only of the four elements survives beyond the springing; part of a very delicate arm curving in two directions. Whether this is a handle or "blade" is uncertain. Cf. a "blade" from Burgh Castle (HER 22344). Diameter of housing 13.5mm, thickness 3.5mm. Probably 18th century.

Cast copper alloy Roman T-shaped brooch, 1st-2nd century. Rectangular vertical plate at head of bow - there was probably oroiginally a loop at the top of this. Hinged pin, broken off. Four transverse grooves at end of each wing. Two shallow grooves running down thebow. Foot and most of the catchplate broken off. Length 40.74mm, width (across wings) 30.94mm, width (top of bow) 10.12mm, thickness 14.44mm, weight 19.22g.

Incomplete Romano-British leaf-shaped military horse harness pendant. Basal terminal missing, suspension loop, which is set at right angles to the body, broken and distorted. Incomplete, very small Medieval gilt buckle with integral plate. Most of the probably oval frame is missing. The plate has a pin hole (filled with iron), rounded attachment edge, transverse grooved decoration, single integral rivet with sub-square rove. Gap between rove and reverse 2mm. Surviving length 13mm, maximum extant width 9.5mm. 13th - 14th century.

Late Anglo-Saxon finger-ring or earring, once with overlapping ends, now distorted and partly opened out. Hoop of circular cross-section towards the widest, central part and more angular towards the ends. Near one end are the very faint indications of two or three ring-and-dot motifs. Metal has dull purplish surface. Length of hoop c.63mm. Compare Margeson 1993 (Norwich Households) no. 1. 11th century.
