Fragment of bone pin. Part of the slightly faceted shaft survives, which is oblong in section. There are signs that the shaft has been burnt, with more than half of it blackened. It is 14.7mm in length, 3.7-9mm wide, 2.5-2.7 thick and weighs 0.26g.Though unclassifiable and undatable, it is probably Roman.

Incomplete bone pin, Crummy type 3, head B. The head has a conical upper half and a slightly rounded lower half. There is a narrow transverse groove at the junction of the head and shaft The shaft is circular in section and is slightly faceted. Th eobject has a mottled dark and beige patina. It is 35.58mm long, the diameter of the shaft is 2.9mm, the diameter of the head is 5.6mm and it weighs 1.4g. See Crummy 1983, page 22.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy axehead [probably a palstave] dating to the Bronze Age. The fragment is wedge shaped with an expanded blade measuring 45mm across. The blade edge is intact. The axehead is broken below the blade revealing a hollow, cast interior. The breaks are worn suggesting ancient damage. The surface of the axehead is corroded and pitted with a green to brown patina. The fragment measures 29mm in length and has a maximum thickness of 17mm.

There is a backward pointing hook to hold the chord – there is a shallow, wide groove across this, then the hook extends a short way down the bow, as a slightly raised central rib. A lead Early Tudor token (c.1490-1545). These tokens were usually a lead, tin, pewter alloy (Mitchiner and Skinner 1984:102). The token probably belongs to the Tau Cross type, although the reverse is plain. The obverse has a plain cross in a circle with an oblique anti-clockwise ray border. It is similar to no. 13 plate 6 pg. 147 in Mitchiner and Skinner "Early Tudor Tokens c.1425-1672" British Numismatic Journal vol. 54 1984, although there are wider spaces between the rays in the border.
