An incomplete fragment of a cast copper alloy Late Bronze Age socketed spearhead (length: 60.3mm; width: 25mm; thickness: 9mm; weight: 21.71g). The artefact seems to have broken off have way down the blade, and a side section illustrates the blade wings to be slightly unlevel either side and the hollow socket visible. The mid rib continues down to the tip of the blade. The spearhead is worn and in a poor condition with greater corrosion along the cutting edge, with some bronze disase in areas. An incomplete cast copper alloy D-shaped buckle with attached triangular plate with gilding (length: 38.7mm; width at buckle: 23.8mm; thickness: 3.2mm; weight: 5.92g). There are a couple of ridges on the outer edge of the buckle frame, as well as two lobes at either end of the strap bar. The typical circular head has a slight platform at the top, possibly indiacting that the brooch may have originally had a loop. A badly corroded but complete cast copper alloy sword pommel, dating to the 9th/ 10th century (length: 25.8mm; width: 55.3mm; thickness: 19.2mm; weight: 55.29g). Of a roughly triangular-shaped design, the pommel is convex on the underside, and is decorated with five stepped and rounded lobes, each increasing in size with the largest in the centre. A complete copper alloy strap slide, of probable Late Iron Age to Roman dating (50 BC to 200 AD). The strap slide is rectangular in shape and with an oval cross section. The strap slide has a rectangular loop, with oval ends. The upper section is concave, as it widens at both tips before narrowing to the centre. The lower section is straight. Traces of slight tinning are present on the strap slide. It measures 11.9 mm in length, 17.9 mm wide and 7.8 mm thick. It weighs 5.92g. A complete cast copper alloy domed thimble (length: 16.9mm; diameter at base: 19.1mm; thickness: 1.1mm; weight: 5.13g). Stamped or hammered into shape with thick walls, this thimble has irregular and uneven concentric and circular indentations around the outside, spiralling down from the top to just above the rimmed base. This artefact was probably used for heavy duty work, and dates from the 14th/ 15th century AD. It is in a worn but fair condition with a dark brown patina and small areas of bronze disease at the base.
