A complete copper alloy harness link consisting of a central boss connected to an arm at each side which terminates in a circular loop. Each loop (internal diameter 12mm) has three oval knops evenly set on the outer edge. The loops are joined to the central boss by 12mm long arms which are D shaped in section. The central boss is oval and has a has a domed protrusion which corresponds with a hollow on the reverse. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman hairpin of Cool group 21 (Cool 1990, 170, fig 11 no 8). This pin is of group 21 as it has a squashed spherical knob head with a central depression on the top, measuring 7mm in diameter. This depression is now empty but was originally likely to have contained a glass or enamel setting. Where the head joins the shaft there is a worn collar, the shaft has a circular cross-section and measures 18mm in length, although it is tapering towards its tip it is originally likely to have been longer and is probably incomplete due to a worn old break. A small circular, millstone grit stone which was thought to be an edge runner that worked with a larger main stone. The stone has a flat grinding surface with traces of the furrows visible in places. The 60mm diameter central hole has two rectangular sockets, 30 mm across, on either side of it, with iron staining in them. The sides of the stone are vertical and the upper surface is convex to within 40mm of the central hole. From here it is concave around the hole. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman strap end. This strap end is likely to be an unusual variant on the 'amphora' type, more elgonated and narrower than other examples but still retaining a basic 'amphora' shape, it measures 60mm in length and 12mm in width. The attachment end is incomplete as are the 'handles' of the 'amphora,' as their outer edges are missing due to old breaks. A copper-alloy fragment of a probable Roman buckle frame. The frame is of Hawkes and Dunning type IIA (1961, fig 17 j), which is made up of a seperate loop, tongue and plate held together with a bolt. The loop of this type is formed of a pair of confronting dolphins. In this example less than half of the loop survives, the dolphin tail end is complete but the end where the dolphin head would be expected is missing due to an old break. A copper-alloy horse harness pendant in the shape of a triangular shield. The 'shield' has rounded shoulders, and Irene Syzmanski has suggested that these point to a date in the first half of the 13th century. The pendant has a suspension loop at the top which is set at an angle to the plane of the pendant. The reverse of the pendant is plain but the obverse is decorated with a series of four depressed chevrons pointing upwards. A copper-alloy pin. The incomplete shaft, which is circular in cross-section, has been bent at a right angle beneath the head, and is broken shortly thereafter. The length of the shaft is 14mm. The head of the pin is flattened biconical in shape with a length of 8mm and a width of 8mm, it has been decorated with a series of curving radiating lines which meet in the centre of the top of the head, below these lines there is a collar.

Part of a copper alloy Roman 'military' buckle. The buckle would have been made up of a separate frame, pin and belt plate held together by a hinge pin but only part of the frame survives. The frame curves round to an involuted terminal and has oblique notches cut along the outer edge. Below the terminal is a hinge ring 5mm across.

Medieval copper alloy spur fragment, 41mm long, 18mm wide and 35.89grams in weight. The object represents the working part of a prick spur and is made up of a pyramidal shaped prick 22mm long and 18mm wide. Below this the object tapers sharply for 6mm and becomes a sub rectangular shaft 10mm wide and 8mm thick. The shaft is 12mm long and terminates with two flanges which are 5mm long and emerge from each side, forming a semicircular recess. A complete copper-alloy undientified object flattened biconical in shape with a central perforation. It measures 17mm in diameter, 11mm in thickness and the perforation is 4.6mm in diameter. The surface is rough, as much of the original surface is now missing due to wear and no decoration can be seen. No parallel could be found for this object its function is unknown, it could possibly have been a bead. It could be Roman or possibly later in date.

A copper alloy, two-piece strap-end. The strap end consists of a cast front plate, with the decorative terminal riveted to a sheet back plate. While the main part of the strap end is undecorated the terminal has diagonal grooves cut in it in an abstract design. This type of strap-end often has a terminal in the form of a kings head but this example looked more like a grotesque face. Two rivets could just be seen on the front of the strap end. Strap ends of this type found in London excavations (Egan & Pritchard 1991)have been dated to mid 14th to 15th centuries.
