Complete but heavily abraded Roman bone counter. This counter is circular in plan and sub-rectangular in section with slightly bevelled edges. It is creamy white in colour and undecorated. The upper surface is slightly countersunk, with a circular indentation in the middle, which is the result of it being manufactured on a lathe. The original surface has now worn away, leaving the counter with a similar texture to cork. It has a diameter of 15.94mm, is 2.48mm thick and weighs 0.29g. A copper-alloy fragment of a late early medieval/Viking Age decorative bridle cheekpiece. This cheekpiece has open work perforations and depicts a Ringerike-style beast's head. The fragment is flat and roughly oval in overall shape, measuring 56mm in lenght and 32.1mm in width. There is one roughly central oval shaped hole and a smaller triangular shaped on behind this. A complete but heavily abraded Roman bone counter. This counter is circular in plan and sub-rectangular in section with slightly bevelled edges. It is creamy beige in colour and is undecorated. The upper surface is slightly countersunk, with a circular indentation in the middle, which is the result of it being manufactured on a lathe. The original surface has now worn away, leaving the counter worn and rough. It has a diameter of 17mm, is 2.56mm thick and weighs 0.79g. Counters of this type were in use throughout the Roman period. Complete Roman jet counter. This counter is circular in plan and sub-rectangular in section with slightly bevelled edges. It is black and undecorated. The upper surface is slightly countersunk, with a circular indentation in the middle, which is the result of it being manufactured on a lathe. The original surface survives well, but there are some tiny areas of pitting, which are now yellowish in colour. It has a diameter of 16.5mm, is 2.62mm thick and weighs 1.13g. Counters of this type were in use throughout the Roman period. See Crummy, 1983, figure 94 for numerous examples.

A copper-alloy possible rivet, with a flat roughly circular head and an integral cylindrical shaft which is pushed through another roughly circular disc at its terminal end. It measures 14mm in length and 14mm in width (across the larger flat disc). The date of this possible rivet is unknown it is perhaps most likely to be medieval, its function beyond holding the circular disc the shaft passes through is also uncertain.

A complete (except for the point of the pin) bow brooch of Colchester type. The brooch is undecorated except for the central short spine which is bordered by indistinct notched decoration. The catchplate has a single triangular aperture and the spring has six coils. The object has been covered in a waxy substance but is otherwise in a good condition.

Complete copper alloy finger ring of probable eighteenth century date (AD 1700 – AD 1800). External diameter 21mm, width of hoop 3.8mm and 1.3mm thick. Weight 2.16g. The hoop is simple and the external surface is plain and slightly convex. The internal surface is slightly convex and has serifed initials G and R stamped either side of a six-pointed star. These initials are, perhaps, those of the wearer. Dark green patina overall, except where small areas of damage have occurred to reveal a bright red metal.

The stem is circular in section and extends at one end to an elongated bulbous probe. At the other end, the stem is decorated with a bead moulding flanked by discs before extending to the spoon's bowl. The bowl is leaf-shaped in plan and 'V'-shaped in section. A complete late Roman - Early Medieval (4th - early 5th Century) copper alloy buckle and plate of Hawkes and Dunning Type 1B. The buckle has a pair of facing dolphins at the centre of the outer edge. Each has open jaws defined by two incised transverse lines and a ring-and-dot for the eye. A recess in the area between the jaws serves as the pin rest. The object consists of a circular plate with latticework decoration; from this protrudes a narrow hook, which appears to have been originally bent right over but which now is nearly straight. On the other side of the plate is a rectangular loop, with in interior width of 9.4mm. The reverse is flat and undecorated. An unusual incomplete cast copper-alloy clasp half, possibly the catch piece from an early Anglo-Saxon wrist or sleeve clasp. As the clasp-half is cast in one piece it has been classified as form B12 by John Hines (Hines pers comm 2005). Like other B12 examples it consists of a straight bar, cast in one, with loops for sewing to the garment, and a decorative knob in the middle of the rear edge giving a T-shape.
