Cast copper-alloy buckle with unusual form and zoomorphic decoration. The buckle has an oval loop, decorated in the centre with a series of transverse grooves forming ribbing. At either end of this is an animal head with upright ear, pointed-oval grooved eye, open jaws and upturned snout. From each open jaw, the neck of a second animal emerges, this time the other way up; these are similar animals but without ears, and grip the short bar in their open mouths. A simple copper-alloy pin with open loop survives on this bar; it has a darker green patina than the rest of the buckle. A t…

Nineteen microburins, largest length 15mm, width 10mm, thickness 3mm, smallest length 6mm, width 6mm, thickness 1mm. These are the butts of microlithis and are waste products from the manufacturing process. Most have one arise on the dorsal. All have either concave retouch on one of the corners, which would have facilitated the removal of the point from the butt, or this area is snapped without the retouch. About 70% have a light grey patina, 15% have a creamy patina and the rest have a mid grey patina. These artefacts date to the Late Mesolithic. This is part of an assemblage…
