Cast copper alloy Anglo-Scandinavian harness fitting, a double looped strap junction. The fitting comprises a shank with a half-rounded section, terminating at each end with an oval loop. The knops project from the outer edges of each loop. The middle of the shank is thickened with an ovoid section. Fittings of this type date to the 11th century AD.

Circular, lead mount. The front has a central cross which is decorated with a row of pellets and in each angle is a moulded triangular motif, all in relatively deep relief. Cast lead object, possibly a weight of probable Post medieval date (AD 1500 - AD 1800). Length 33mm, upper diameter 9mm, lower diameter 16mm. Weight 40.10g. The object is cone-shaped with a truncated (flat) top and has a sub-square-shaped perforation through the longitudinal centre. The dimensions of this perforation are roughly 4mm x 4mm at the top and 5mm x 5mm at the bottom. On the side of the cone are four equally spaced minor ribs which extend along its full length. Near the base, on the side, are a number of casting flaws. The metal is in a stable condition.

A complete copper-alloy object, probably a rein strengthener or harness fitting, dating to the Roman period. The object is hollow, faceted and polygonal in shape. It swells slightly towards its middle. It measures 52mm in length, has a maximum diameter of 12mm and weighs 18.5g. It is similar to a bone object from Aldborough No. 4, pp 6-7. (Bishop, 1996, No. 4, pp 6-7).
