An incomplete cast copper alloy stylus, probably dating to the 1st/ 2nd century AD (length: 69.8mm; width/ thickness at broken end of shaft: 1.9mm; width at splayed/ flattened end: 11mm; weight: unknown as artefact secured in box). The stylus has a widely-splayed eraser end, with the opposite end broken down the circular cross-sectioned shaft. The artefact is decorated with a slightly raised ridge marking the point where the shaft begins to splay. The stylus is worn but in a fair condition, with a dark green patina. A complete fabricated and silver plated cliched forgery of a Roman republican coin (diameter: 17.7mm; thickness: 1.3mm; weight: 1.82g). Probably taken from original contemporary Republican coins, the reverse represents a coin minted in Rome in 103 BC by Q. Therm M. Incomplete copper alloy “nail” of probable Post Medieval or Modern date (from AD 1500). Length 79.4mm, width 17mm and 17mm thick. Weight 82.65g. The nail has a square head, 17mm x 17mm, which is slightly domed on its upper surface and it has a chamfered underside edge. The tapered shank is square in cross-section, 12mm x 12mm beneath the head. At the other end, where there is an old break, the shank is 9mm x 9mm. Alternatively, this might be a clench-bolt and used in association with a rove, in which case it might be classified as a large rivet.

A complete copper-alloy hooked mount from a sword belt, with neo-classical anthropomorphic decoration of a female bust in relief facing forward with long curly hair. Below the bust is an integral loop (internal diameter 11.0mm) with two smaller attachment holes above it. The top of the bust has an integral flat blunt hook, which bends up then down behind the mount. The length of the mount is 61.6mm, the width is 25.4mm and the weight is 16.11g. 17th century.

Copper alloy brooch, Colchester type. Missing spring, pin, most of catchplate and end of bow. The small flat wings have no surviving decoration. The forward hook is short, probably incomplete. The bow is oval to circular in section, tapering to a point, with no surviving decoration. The catchplate stub does not have any indication of perforations. In profile the top angle is around 90 degrees with a smooth curve below. The brooch is very abraded and corroded. Surviving length 43mm, width 11mm. A fairly small example of the standard type.
