Cast lead trade weight or net weight, a flat rectangular prism in profile, with an integral attachment loop with a perforation hole of about 7 mm in diameter. The base is rectangular in section but not flat so that the weight is not free-standing. It is 45 mm in length, 25 mm in width and 14 mm in thickness at its base and 7.3 mm in thickness at its attachment loop. It weighs about 86.85 grams which equates to about three ounces avoirdupois.
Biggs & Withers (2000) illustrate a similar weight on page 31, No.67, which is probably medieval.
Bailey (1995) also depicts a similar…

One of these circles towards the centre features a 'crenellated' motif. Within the inner circle is a pair of indiscernible motifs, possibly instruments. A line has been gouched from the edge down to the centre at one point. The reverse is relatively flat and undecorated.

It is pitted and has suffered losses around the edge and on the reverse face. It features a central circular perforation. On the obverse this is surrounded by a raised circle, beyond which is a circular recess. Within the recessed circle are two pairs of pellets with an angle of 120 degrees between them; another pellet is located between them.

A cast lead weight of long biconical form of possible medieval date. The weight features a central perforation which runs the length of the object. The weight is worn and abraded, particularly at one of the terminals. Bailey (1995, 29) suggests that weights of this form, often found in rural areas, could be net weights used to catch rabbits or birds.

Cast, copper alloy apothecaries' weight, 15mm wide, 16mm long, 3.5mm thick, weight 7.62g. Bevelled edges, the top and underside is flat with striations across the surface, which would be evidence of the manufacturing process. There is decoration on the top and underside comprising a symbol that would correspond with a 4-drachm weight and a rose below.
Apothecaries used this style of weight from the 17th century into the 20th century, although the addition of the rose would date it to the 17th century (Biggs, 1992, 8-9).

A lead object, probably a fishing weight or net sinker of uncertain date, but possibly Roman. The object comprises a flat, rectangular sheet which has been rolled to form a hollow cylinder which has subsequently opened.
The weight can be classified as Tyrell (2015) Type C4: a rolled lead weight made from sheet lead. Tyrell suggests that such weights may date to the third or fourth century AD. At Elm's Farm, Weybridge, several weights of this type were found in late Roman contexts suggesting that they may be a third or fourth century type.
