A rectangular framed buckle with a notch for the tongue rest and a flange extending along the edge of the tongue rest. The tongue is still present. The cross bar extends beyond the frame and curves round to meet the frame; this is free moving. The pin has a long tube that hangs on the bar. The frame is rectangular with tall shaped sides that are grooved to receive the locking arm. The arm is broken so that it no longer extends over the frame. Pale-mid green patina. A Medieval copper alloy buckle and plate (14th century). The buckle frame has an off-set bar and is curved so that the outer edge rises up. The outer edge is swollen to form a solid cylinder that is angled to form a central point that is notched for the pin rest. The pin is now missing. The buckle plate is rectangular - the longer axis is perpendicular to the bar. Two hinge loops and traces of iron are present near the recess where the pin originally sat. An early Post Medieval copper alloy mount (AD1500-1600). The reverse is hollow. The mount is shaped and decorated to resemble an acorn. One half is decorated with incised cross-hatched lines, then a raised rib extending across the width of the mount, the other half is plain and terminates in a small knop. There is a slightly larger knop on the other end. There are two integral pins projecting from the reverse (one is broken and the top is missing); both are curved towards the reverse of the mount. A Post Medieval copper alloy buckle with an inset cross-bar (16-17th century). The frame has an internal triangular projection with a notch for the pin rest. The corners of the frame opposite the cross-bar are also cast to form angular points. The frame is decorated with two incised parallel lines on the arms of the frame just above the cross-bar, and there is a flange that extends along the curved edge. Two interlocking, early Post Medieval mounts (AD1500-1600). Mount 1 has a kidney-shaped frame. On one side the frame has been cast to form two bulges that curve into the internal space and cast in two decorative bulges with a rounded projection at either end. It is D-shaped in cross-section. There are two prongs on the reverse; one part is broken off and the remainder is bent flat against the frame. The other is bent half-way along its length so that it is bent back on itself. A copper alloy object with dark-green, glossy patina (possibly Iron Age or Medieval). It is a rounded triangular shape, constructed from a thick lozengiform sheet (thickness: 2.62mm) of copper alloy folded along the midline. There are two copper alloy rivets arranged in-line with each other 16.77mm apart; the rivets fasten the two halves of the sheet together. Along the fold is a circular perforation (diameter: 5.80mm). A copper alloy Roman votive bird figurine (1st-2nd century AD). The figurine depicts a bird with outstretched winds and neck curved so the head faces one side. The tail is fan-shaped with a scalloped edge representing the ends of feathers. The neck and body are decorated with s-shaped incised lines; the wings and tail are decorated with thicker and more irregular lines all representing the feathers.
