A worn lead pointed oval shaped seal matrix measuring 35mm in length and c25mm in width. On the reverse at one point of the oval shape there is an incomplete suspension loop, roughly half of which is missing due to old breaks. On the front face there is a central flower motif and around this a border legend. This legend is worn and appears to read; S'MABILI E(/C?) FOL(?)AT, meaning 'the seal of Mabel Efolat(?); the second half of the name is very unclear and the 'e' and the 'l' may not be correct. This is therefore a personal seal matrix belonging to the individual named in the inscription

A complete worn crude lead seal matrix likely to be medieval circa 13th century date. This matrix is flat and circular in shape measuring 38mm in diameter. On the reverse there is a central integral cylindrical projection, now bent to one side, 15mm in length and 8mm in width. It is possibly complete or part of an incomplete loop, it is too worn to be certain. The area where the projection joins the circular die of the matrix is distorted and has open cracks through it, the shape of these correspond to a central flat topped shield shaped motif on the front face, it is possible that…

A copper alloy seal matrix with circular face. Hexagonal handle tapering to a triple collar with suspension loop above. Device of a rather plump squirrel in profile, facing left. It holds an acorn (nut uppermost) in front of its mouth in its left forepaw. It is not clear whether it is meant to be sitting on its haunches or scrabbling on the ground; the position of the opening star of the legend suggests the latter. Device separated from legend by a neat line; remains of a similar line visible marking outer edge of matrix. Measurements: 15 mm diameter, 16 mm high (approx.).

A copper-alloy seal matrix of 'chess pawn' type, medieval and circa 14th century in date. This matrix has a lozenge shaped suspension loop and a hexagonal cross-sectioned shaft above a circular die. It measures 20mm in height and the die measures 21mm in diameter. In the centre of the die there is a crown surrounding this there is a border inscription contained within two border grooves. This inscription reads; S'PIET' DE CONINC, the 'N' are reverse barred. It is therefore most likely to be a personal seal belonging to this individual. Interestingly this means Peter[ ]King in Flemmish.
