Copper alloy seal matrix, circular disc with suspension loop on the reverse. This is very worn and little detail can be made out. The central device is of a male head with hand raised before face, perhaps in prayer. Little of the legend is discernible, only [...] I [...] P I [...] (?). The size of the lettering suggests there are perhaps 15+ letters. There is a raised rib running across the centre of the reverse which expands into a suspension loop at one end, corresponding with the top of the head, and presumably with the start of the legend on the obverse. Dark green patchy patina. M…

A worn double-sided lead seal matrix. The matrix has a motif and legend on both faces, but both are difficult to read. One face of the seal has a crescent with a star below it. The legend reads R'ROB[]ANON. The first name is Robert and the second name is probably a surname. The central device of the reverse face is possibly a stylised flower with a pair of leaves. The legend reads []TORI[]DHG . It is likely that the TORI is part of PASTORIS which means shepherd, or perhaps more likely PISTORIS which means baker. The length is 26.7mm, the width is 22.7mm and the weight is 10.38g.
