Cast copper alloy seal matrix. The seal matrix is circular, with a six-sided handle projecting from the reverse. This handle ends in a trefoil-shaped suspension loop which itself has an oval projecting knop at its terminal. The loop is bent at a slight angle to the handle, perhaps deliberately as a guide to the orientation of the seal. As a further guide, there is a series of three incised markings on the rim of the seal and the handle in line with the top of the seal motif; these comprise an irregular cross on the rim, an 'X', and a vertical line with three lines across it.
