Medieval lead alloy seal matrix. Circular disc. Central fleur-de-lis design, surrounded by a plain line border and the inscription +SIGILL':NIChOL':CAPELLANI (Seal of Nicholas the Chaplain). Lombardic 'h', Roman 'N', barred A, E and first C rounded, second C angular. No evidence for an attachment loop or handle on the reverse, or around the edge. Slightly bent, so concave on the reverse. Probably 13th century. Diameter 33.40mm, thickness (of disc) c.3.5mm, weight 25.82g. See IOW-A514A3 for a similar inscription.

Cast lead object, apparently a crude pointed oval shaped seal matrix. Medieval, probably 13th-14th century. Raised design of a a cross with diagonal lines radiating from the centre in each quarter. There is a raised knop on one end of the reverse (where the loop would be on a normal pointed oval seal matrix) and casting line running the length of the reverse. One end is broken off. Length 21.25mm, width 16.42mm, thickness 7.98mm, weight 5.77g.

Copper alloy circular seal matrix with hexagonal handle ending in loop with three slightly projecting knops. The device is two crossed arms with hands and a small bird above. The inscrption starts at the bottom with a star and reads *LEL AMI AVET (Lombardic)- "You have a loyal friend". The edges of the matrix are slightly damaged. The handle is slightly bent to one side - the original surface is damaged around the bend. Fine grey-green patina. Length 27.62mm, diameter 19.28mm, maximum width of handle (across loop) 7.58mm, maximum thickness of handle (across collar) 5.86mm, weight 8.32g…
