Copper alloy Roman zoomorphic brooch in the form of a seated greyhound. The overall form of the brooch is reminiscent of a Romano-British Dragonesque booch. The brooch is in good condition and remains intact apart from the pin on the reverse. The brooch is finely cast and the surface has been tinned to give a silver finish. The tinning covers the whole front surface and extends onto the rim of the hollow cast back. Cast copper alloy hinged enameled brooch of Victorian era dated to the Post-Medieval period. It is sub-rectangular (diamond shape) in plan and slightly domed (D shape) in cross section. The lower part of the brooch does not survive. The front face is highly decorated with an enameled design. The reverse of the lid is undecorated, on the top corner is a small integrally cast hinge. Incomplete annular brooch of Medieval date (AD 1200 – AD 1400). Maximum diameter 37mm, maximum thickness 4.8mm. Weight 15.09g. The brooch has a sexfoil frame. It is roughly triangular in cross-section, flat at the rear. Each foil is of equal size. Within one of the foils is a pin bar which is circular in cross-section and has a diameter of 2mm. The opposite foil has a worn area where the tip of the missing pin has been in contact. The frame is corroded and has a patchy dark green patina. The piece is in poor condition.

Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 4, two vertical ribs, sub-group, flat wing ends type). and dating to the 1st century AD. The brooch is incomplete, with only one of the wings and upper bow surviving, and has a surviving length of 26.3mm and weighs 5.3g. The missing spring was secured with a Polden Hill arrangement. Roman copper alloy bow brooch, 56mm long and 54mm wide. The brooch is in a fair condition with a light brown patina and weighs 21.35 grams. The brooch consists of semi-circular sectioned wings which contain a spring of 12 coils, the pin is missing. The wings are decorated with two vertical bands of incised lines and raised dots at each side. The bow is also decorated with at least 4 vertical incised lines and has an intact catchplate which is also decorated with two horizontal incised lines, one along its upper edge and one near its centre.

Nearly complete gilded copper alloy disc brooch of Weetch type 16 (also known as Elmsett type). The brooch is openwork and in the form of an equal-armed cross with splayed arms and smaller, similar arms set diagonally. In the centre there is an empty rivet hole that would have contained a small boss. The larger arms are each decorated with interlace, appearing to have some animal element to them. An incomplete Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill type (West Midlands). It is 26mm long, 19mm wide and weighs 7.3g. The brooch is missing its pin, spring and most of its bow, including the catchplate. It consists of two short wings which flank a wide rounded protrusion at the head. The semi-circular sectioned bow emerges from the front of this and tapers gently. There are no visible signs of decoration. The brooch is in fair condition with a green patina.

Medieval copper alloy annular brooch pin, 43mm long, 5mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in a good condition with a green patina and weighs 4.75 grams. The object consists of a square sectioned shaft which has a hook shaped into its end, which would have held it onto the brooch. Under the hook the object has a collar of three small rectangular protrusions. The shaft tapers gently and appears to have snapped at an extreme angle, leaving a sharp point.

A fragment of a medieval silver-gilt circular brooch. The D-shaped frame consists of four conical collets, now lacking their stones, alternating with three smaller bosses, each with punched decoration. The brooch probably dates to the 13th or 14th century. The maximum is length 35mm and the width of the frame is 2.7mm. It weighs 2.42g.

Fragment of a circular lead brooch, very worn. triangular geometic pattern around the outer edge with a circular wave pattern inside the inner circle of the brooch. dimensions: 29.1mm, width 17.2mm thickness 2mm, weight 4.17g. This brooch was allocated by Rosie Weetch to Type 32, unknown/other plate brooch, but from the drawing it seems as if it must be a Type 13, the stepped type. These date to the 11th century.
